Answering Your Questions About Project Help

Who We Are

Project Help is a Christian organization dedicated to helping the under-resourced of Steuben County, Indiana. Our ministry was started by the Steuben County Ministerial Association in 1989 to have one place to meet the needs of lower income families in our community.

We are governed by an eight member Board of Directors.

Whom We Serve

Project Help serves approximately 2,000 Steuben County families annually with short term needs and referrals to other social service agencies. Our families meet federal low-income requirements.

Why We Serve

We serve because we want to help others over hardships in life. To carry one another’s burdens is part of our mission.

We provide basic needs, support, resources and referrals to allow people in need an opportunity to improve their situation and gain confidence to lead toward self sufficiency.

How We Serve

  1. Monthly supplemental food for low-income families.
  2. Distribution Center for clothing, household items, furniture, bedding, and appliances
  3. Resource for information and referrals.
  4. Second Chance Resale Store where most clothing items are sold for $3 each, helping families that want to pay something but can’t afford department store prices.
