Thanksgivng 2014

You can partner with Project Help of Steuben County to provide Thanksgiving meals for 2,500 people from 750 households!

Based on last year’s (2013) need, Project Help is anticipating helping 750 families (2,500 individuals) with Thanksgiving dinner this year. How can you help? By collecting a donation from everyone.

Because Project Help can buy food at Community Harvest Food Bank and from other sources for less than store sale prices, would you consider receiving a donation from everyone in your factory, organization, school, office, church, etc. and give it to Project Help?

Churches:  would you consider announcing to your congregation one or all of these options: a special offering today will go to Project Help’s Thanksgiving need; or all the ones and fives; or all the loose offering will go to Project Help’s Thanksgiving. Simply pass the hat or offering plate and then either drop your donation off at Project Help at 711 E Harcourt Road or mail a check to PO Box 423, Angola, Indiana, 46703.

We need your donations by Monday, November 10.
Project Help’s Thanksgiving dinner distribution is Tuesday, November 25.

Project Help will spend about $5,000 for Thanksgiving

If you prefer to have a food drive for Project Help, we will gladly accept any donations. Our Thanksgiving menu is:

450 turkeys, all sizes
450 cans sweet potatoes
800 boxes mashed potatoes/
       fresh potatoes
450 pounds butter
450 cans cranberry sauce
800 boxes stuffing mix

450 cans/packets gravy or gravy mix
600 cans biscuits
450 complete desserts
If you feel something has been left off this list, it is probably because we have already been able to purchase it at a discounted price.
Factories and offices:  If you have extra turkeys or hams to donate, we will gladly accept them any time, even after Thanksgiving.

We thank you for your generous gifts.
750 Steuben County families say thank you for your generous giving.
